Iran to set up mobile hospital in Pakistan: health minister

A mobile hospital will be set up in the neighboring flood-stricken Pakistan soon, Health Minister Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi has announced.

The mobile hospital includes nine camps and three ambulance buses, she said.

Dastjerdi added the hospital will be set up according to the decision made by Iranian medical team which had been sent to Pakistan.

The minister also expressed Iran’s readiness to send more humanitarian aid to Pakistan including blood and medicine.

Chancellor of Zahedan Medical Sciences University has announced that a few flood-ridden Pakistanis have entered the country under the guise of beggars.

They have entered the country through the border of the eastern city of Chabahar, Dr. Mansour Shakiba told the Mehr News Agency on Friday.

Noting that the affected areas are 700 to 800 kilometers away from Iran, he dismissed reports that a huge crowd of Pakistanis from the flood-stricken areas are waiting across the border to enter Iran.

Shakiba added those who want to enter the country legally are being examined in the border stations.

Just a small number of those who have entered the country suffered Malaria which were kept in quarantine till they were cured, he noted.

In addition, the chancellor said it is possible that some persons illegally cross the border who will be identified by patrol forces and transferred to the health centers.
