Normandy Schools Collaborative students up to 18 years old are eligible to receive services through Affinia Healthcare’s Medical Mobile Unit at Normandy High School, located at 6701 St. Charles Rock Rd.
The van’s hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays now through Wednesday, August 9. Appointments are not required but may be necessary during busy periods.
The Normandy Schools Collaborative and Affinia will open a permanent school-based health center on Thursday, August 10 at Normandy High School. In addition to the services offered by the mobile unit, the health center will offer comprehensive reproductive and behavioral health services.
The Normandy school-based health center is a community initiative made possible by the support of Affinia, Wyman Center, Washington University’s For the Sake of All project, and BJC Healthcare.
Currently, there are more than 2,300 school-based health centers in the United States. This will be only the third of its kind in the St. Louis region.
